How many times have we heard those words? Often given with every intention - whether good or bad. Even heard with every dread, whether denial or acceptance. But have you ever noticed how it always seems to be from someone who has never been in your situation, or are simply voicing their opinion just to fuel some agenda or self importance?
When we want or need advice it is something we can seek. It should only be given when asked for, and never at the expense of who is asking. It should be honest - even if unpopular. But honesty is the key and is the integrity to keeping an emphatic approach.
What we need to remember is simple:
Some people will like you
Some people will hate you
But none of it will have anything to do with you.
