Just as they do in a forest, broken branches can appear in a family tree. They can appear without a reason other than an ignorance or self pity. A bruised ego as a result of an imaginary conflict.
As with the densest of forests, what can be the closest of families can have broken branches. It can be there even though the trunk of the family tree, being the parent or parental figures, try to hold it together and heal the broken bough.
Adjoining branches that have the split sometimes heal, sometimes never. But the saddest thing is that it is often at the wanting of just one of the branches that this is so.
What we have to remember is that sometimes no matter how much you can try to re-grow the split it is the onward growth that is uncontrolled by your actions. You can try but if your attempts are met with negativity then you can only do what you have. Unfortunately in life there are those who would rather dwell within themselves and imagine they are hard done by rather than face up to life and know they aren't. Know they have put their own wedge in the broken branch.
When a tree blossoms it is beautiful, but when a branch breaks it doesn't necessarily have to die - it just need the branches to work together.
