In the U.K. in the 1970’s & 1980’s we had a road safety campaign called ‘The Green Cross Code Man’. Teaching kids (and adults) the importance of ‘Stop, Look, Listen’.

We all have a tendency to get caught up in life, and the fact at times it can be going at a million mph all around us. When it is seemingly hard to gain focus, and we start to feel out of control. We have all had times where it can start to feel overwhelming because the hard we seem to try, the more difficult it becomes or the less we seem to achieve. These are the times when we need to Stop, Look, Listen. Take that step back and stop what you are doing. Look all around you, not just at the beauty of where you are, but at the people you are with - and if it is company that you want/need to be in? Lastly we need to listen more. I am a strong believer in ‘listen a lot, and say little’. When you listen properly you will learn so much.
The busy fool may be heard, they may be seen, but they will never be watched for inspiration nor listened to.
