Ever wonder when you will close your eyes for the last time? The infinite blink of an eye?
Life changes, as does the world as we get older. Some lives are changed by forces beyond their control, especially true when you think of the atrocity that happened in Sri Lanka last Sunday. Or closer to hone in Derry City in the early hours of Friday when Lyra McKee, a young journalist was murdered by cowards.
Nothing in life is for granted, only the fool takes life as such. Be grateful. Be happy with what you have, however little that is - and if you have more than others, the. Be grateful for being in that position too.
Pass on to your children the knowledge, and wisdom you gather as you go. Teach them what is socially and morally right. Hopefully if enough people can do this, then the events of the last week will stop. Remember that nobody who has ever been born, at any point in history, has ever been born to hate. They have to be taught hatred, intolerance, racism, homophobia, etc etc. Open your eyes and see the beauty around you, encourage everyone you meet to do the same.
I guess the one thing that stands out is that in the grand scheme we are all here for but the blink of an eye.
