Fear of Fear and Loathing...

People can come and go in life, but the person in the mirror will be there forever. So be kind to yourself.

The thing is we need to know when to be kind to ourselves, but also know when we need a kick in the ass to get going. Too many people get stuck in a rut without ever doing anything about it. What I’m about to tell you now is something you need to listen to. I mean really take heed. Are you ready? Really? Ok, here goes:

Don’t be afraid!

It doesn’t matter if it is personal or professional. The only person you should fear is yourself as you lose time that could be spent becoming all you can and want to be.

Fear of the unknown will often stop us from venturing past our ‘comfort zone’. Some people call it a comfort zone, some call it every day. In truth it is a rut. If you find that you are having to make excuses to anyone - or worse still yourself for ‘making do’ then you are slowly and painfully killing each and every second of your life until you stop. Stop making yourself believe that you don’t have more to achieve. Stop trying to convince yourself that this life is ok, and “it will do”. No! No it won’t. If you have to make any excuses to appease your inner fear or a guilt of having the bravado to make the change, then you’ve already answered your own questions about what you need to do.

Don’t be controlled by fear of the unknown, don’t be controlled by fear of what anyone will think. Don’t be controlled. You have the control, and only you. Your light will burn brighter than you remember it could. Don’t life a life that is fear and loathing of oneself. When I say fear and loathing, I mean a fear of taking the steps to do what you need, and then a loathing for not actually doing it.

You are stronger than you think, more amazing than you know - and most importantly you are you.

Honestly, don’t let fear get in the way of what your life could be...
