Last Day On Earth…

Ever have a last day? Of course we have. When we think about it, by default we will go to our last day at school, or our last day in a job that we either loved (or hated). It could be a last day in a house you’ve lived in for years gone by. But it also can be with someone or something. A friend, family me member of loved one. A beloved pet.

It’s not even particularly to do with age, that’s just a number. I say this because I know some of the youngest 80 year olds you will ever meet, but on a similar note I’ve met people in their 20’s who are older than anyone I’ve ever encountered. The amount of life you have in your mindset is nothing to do with the number of candles on your birthday cake. Remember, your age is nothing more than how many laps around the sun you have done.

So when it comes to thinking of last days, don’t dwell on it as the finality of anything. Instead think of it as how you grow from that moment on. Some will be by choice, your choice, so the last day is ok because it’s your decision to make that change. For others, you may be expecting to see them again, but that day may never come.

Everyone and everything in your life will have a last day with you, and the thing is, right now you will ever know when it’s going to be.

With this in mind, chose wisely how you spend your time and with who. Promise yourself now that you’re not going to waste any of it. For today could be the last day on earth…
