Change It Up…

So what have we learnt this week?

Truth is, it’s probably been just one of those weeks where you have seen or witnessed the same frustrations, and for the most part, many are out of your control.

I learnt a long time ago not to stress over the things I have no control over. That’s not to say, that occasionally, it still grinds my gears.

We know that there will always be people that think that they know best, and at the same time there will always be people that have no self confidence and doubt everything they do. I suppose there is a balance between the two that is a happy medium. Knowing that you know what you know, but at the same time having the self belief that you are comfortable in what you are doing, or what you are facing - irrespective of what others think, do or say.

Life is complicated. Each and every day we learn that lesson over and over again. Does it get easier? I guess for the most part, not really. But then we need to apply the ruling of whether or not you have control over the matter at hand. Once that is in place, there will be a significant shift in what has previously stressed you out. Or in the stuff you come across that is so glaringly wrong, but you cannot change it.

Don’t get me wrong, change is good. We would not have evolution without change. And frankly, without evolution we would be trapped in the dark ages forever and a day.

I guess change is about the right pace for the right circumstance. If you get the balance wrong, you will undoubtably face resistance and create divides if you are the one trying to influence the change.

Change management is critical, irrespective of who, what and where. If we don’t manage how change comes into our lives, then we create a bow wave that carries us on the opposite direction to where we need to be.

Take your self belief, accept what you cannot change, but always strive forward. There are no monsters to be scared of, and nobody you face will ever be so scary that you cannot overcome…
