Inflammable Material

Have you ever felt like you are being treated as Inflammable Material? That you don't belong, because you are different? That you make others feel uncomfortable because you have the bravery and the courage to be yourself?

It's ok to be different to those around you, it is what differentiates you from everyone else.

I grew up listening to the Northern Irish Punk band Stiff Little Fingers. A group of four lads who wanted an 'Alternative Ulster', they knew that they wanted more than the troubles that so many of us grew up with. Being different like this is a wonderful approach to life. It's what can take you to places you never thought possible; whether physically, mentally, or emotionally. Look for your 'Alternative Ulster' no matter where you are. Look for the best of where you are and how to make it better. So, no matter where you are, who you're with, and what you're doing. Know that you have the power to find your utopia. To bring about your happiness. To have your 'Alternative Ulster'

Again, if you feel like you stand out or don't fit in, then this is to be relished. You should be proud, yet humble that you are different to the masses. You should believe that you are beautiful and unique because you are you. Most importantly, even if you are treated like inflammable material, you are ready to burn brighter than any fire and any star that has ever been.

I'm running at the edge of their world

They're criticising something they just can't understand

Living on the edge of their town

And I won't be shot down...
